Hi Sheryll
First of all, I apologize for my delayed response. I have been taking a hiatus from stamps and dead countries for the past year to finish a Master’s degree).
To answer your question, you are absolutely right. The first “Republic of South Africa (1910-61) should more properly be called “Union of South Africa”. I have made the change. Thank you for your keen eye and knowledge. I always appreciate when people can correct errors, as it only makes the material better.

Hi Jon – Welcome to DCStamps. Thanks for your nice comment. For me, these have been most helpful for me to understand how a particular region changed over times, and has been a great tool for collecting Dead Countries. I am glad you found it useful as well.

Now I am looking for Union of South Africa and I can’t see it here. Was it really called Republic of South Africa, British Colony?
